We are a group of Christians who have a little different view of what the church should be. We believe that it’s time that we forgot about tradition; got back to basics, back to what Jesus said. God calls us to a life of service to others, and to make disciples that make disciples.
Jesus said: “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40b)
It is our goal to serve Jesus, and if we are to serve him, we must do what he commanded. Jesus said: “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35)
Church shouldn’t just be like a family. It should be a family. The Bible says:
All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” (Romans 8:14-15)
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:4-6)
